角刺藻屬 Chaetoceros Ehrenberg, 1844
描述：細胞短圓柱形，殼面大都是橢圓形，斷面橢圓形或圓形。 從細胞四隅生出的角毛比細胞長，並且相互交叉，構成鏈狀群體， 具有細胞間隙。 色素體數目、形狀、大小、位置都隨種而異。
